Grenson x Tenue de Nimes

We have a lunchtime treat that we just had to share with you; a boot to salivate over and a video to help you procrastinate away your Wednesday afternoon. In November last year Dutch retailer, Tenue de Nîmes visited the Grenson factory in Rushden, Northamptonshire to salute their first collaborative shoe. They developed a black Tenue de Nîmes interpretation of the Grenson classic and blog favourite, the Fred. The shoe is a limited edition high top brogue with a triple layer, blue tone leather sole and is quite something...

The blue tone leather sole...

As we all know, Grenson is all about traditional craftsmanship, quality and style. Everything is made in the same factory on Queen Street in Rushden. Recently they have collaborated with British brand Albam and New York fashion store Odin and it is great to see such a brand collaborate in this way. Tenue de Nîmes were amazed by all the stages of English craftsmanship to finally come together in this characteristic shoe. So, they decided to create a video documenting the factory and the close to two hundred pit stops their shoe had to make before it being delivered in Amsterdam. I am going to be popping in to see Grenson's tomorrow morning to learn more about this collaboration and to discover what other delights they have in store for us over the coming months so will report back to you all shortly. In the meantime, take a break from work, make yourself a cuppa and watch the below video...

  1. Interesting - look forward to hearing more about Grenson. Just ordered a pair of Grenson Freds and curious to see how the Rushden range compares to Crockett & Jones albeit at a lower price point.
